Privacy Policy

Fiscalité Signature Inc. ("the Firm", "we") respects your privacy and complies with Quebec's Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information) and federal PIPEDA. As members of a professional order, our co-founders are also bound by the professional secrecy provided in section 9 of Quebec's Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.

1. Information we collect

• Contact details: name, company, email, phone — to handle requests, schedule appointments, and bill.
• Tax and accounting information: documents, financial statements, returns, supporting records — strictly required to perform the engagement.
• Sensitive identifiers: social insurance numbers, Quebec and federal business numbers — collected only when required by tax law.
• Payment data: processed by our banking partners; we do not store card numbers.
• Browsing data: with your consent (analytics cookies), we measure site usage in aggregate.

2. Purposes

Your information is used only to: perform your engagement; transmit returns to the competent tax authorities (CRA, Revenu Québec); bill you; meet our legal and ethical obligations (Professional Order, accounting and tax record retention).

3. Sharing

Your information is never sold. It may be shared with:

• The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec, in connection with returns you have duly authorized.
• Our technical sub-processors (hosting, cloud, accounting software), contractually bound to confidentiality.
• Authorities when required by law (judicial order, regulatory request).

4. Retention

We retain professional files in accordance with Professional Order requirements and Canadian tax obligations — generally 7 years after engagement end. Marketing communications are deleted when you withdraw consent.

5. Your rights (Law 25)

• Access to the information we hold about you.
• Rectification of any inaccurate data.
• Withdrawal of consent at any time (subject to legal or ethical obligations).
• Portability in structured format.
• Complaint to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

6. Cookies

We use three categories: essential (always on), analytics (granular consent), and marketing (reserved for future use). You can change your choices at any time via "Manage cookies" in the footer.

7. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to co-founders and authorized personnel, access logging, encrypted backups. No method is infallible — we apply industry best practices.

8. Outside AMF scope

The Firm does not provide investment advice, securities advice, insurance advice, or financial planning within the meaning of Quebec's Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services. These services fall under the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and are provided, where applicable, by duly registered professionals — not by the Firm.

9. Minors

This site is intended for professional and commercial use. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without parental consent.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated. The effective date above indicates the last change.
